Players in Event 6-8-9-11-12-14-15 or 17 who purchased a $10 "Last-Longer" entry and won that event's Last-Longer and became part of a 9-person single table Thursday with a winner-take-all prize pool of up to $5,000. Wait, that's only 8 seats for the 9-person table, right?
Not exactly, as the 9th seat was filled by ... Scotty Nguyen himself, and the entire single-table event was broadcast live on our online poker radio network HoldemRadio.com.

2013 World Series of Poker Circuit returned to Lake Tahoe, and came
early this time around. The annual poker tournament series kicked off
Oct. 24 at Harveys Lake Tahoe and ran through Nov. 4.
Local pro Shawn Daniels was runner-up in Events 1 and 6, while Chris Swan of the Bay Area picked up the ring in Event 2, and ESPN's World Series of Poker announcer Lon McEachern was 4th in Event 3. Howard 'Tahoe' Andrew, who 37 years ago won back-to-back WSOP bracelets, was the final-table bubble in Event 6.
The Winter Pot Of Gold series is back for another yea5 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. The 29-event series kicks of on Thursday, Dec. 5, wrapping up with a $10,000 freeroll on Sunday, Dec. 15.
There are three tournaments per day Dec. 6-14, with buy-ins ranging from $160 up to $340. Most of the Noon events have a $230 buy-in, while the daily 4 pm events range from Hold'em to Stud, Omaha and HORSE, with buy-ins from $160 to $230.
